When heat output claims don't add up: why compliance matters for installers
Concerns raised by MARC in collaboration with the OPSS highlights radiators being marketed with non-compliant heat outputs
From home offices and compact working spaces to complete office towers, we provide a wide range of suitable heating and cooling solutions for every office renovation project.
Office renovations are often about more than improving the appearance of the office. A renovated office environment is also beneficial to the functionality and daily operation of the business. Given the impact the HVAC system can have on workplace productivity, this should certainly be included in the scope of an office renovation project.
At Myson we understand that every office renovation project is different. Every building has its unique features and it is just as important to align the renovated HVAC system with the building as with the occupants’ needs. This will ensure indoor climate comfort year round, optimal efficiency, and reduced operating costs.
Whether for new build offices or office renovations, there are a few critical aspects to consider to choose the right office heating, cooling and ventilation solution. These include an optimal temperature with an even heat distribution throughout the room, silent emitters that don’t cause distractions during work and draught-free ventilation and cooling. Our range of indoor climate comfort solutions takes all this criteria into account.
An office renovation presents the perfect opportunity to switch to a low temperature system driven by a renewable energy heat source such as a heat pump. Radiant heating solutions, like underfloor heating, are a perfect match for such a system. This can be complemented by fan convectors for constant yet flexible heat during winter and pleasant cooling in summer.
An alternative to low temperature radiators or convectors are ultra-low temperature radiators. These fan radiators have built-in fans to provide comfortable, adjustable heating and cooling at a system temperature of 35 to 45°C. The classic white design allows for an easy integration of these radiators in any kind of interior.
Given the different kind of rooms within an office building, it’s important to find a suitable heating and cooling solution for every room. For example, meeting rooms or break rooms, where the need for heating and cooling is highly dependent on the number of people present, will benefit from a flexible solution such as fan convectors. Smaller offices or home offices, in turn, match well with standard radiators or electric radiators as these react quickly to changing demands and can be easily adjusted to offer optimal comfort at all times.
